Best Way to Handle This Blog?

I’m still trying to figure out the best way to share Ava’s experience with family and friends. So far Blogger.com seems to be the easiest way to create the page, and I can host on my own server along with other files and such. But this is taking a lot more effort than I thought. Either way, I plan to work hard in keeping everyone up to date. How much fun would it be if I could keep this up throughout Ava’s growth and have a permanent document on the web?

Ava's First Day Home

Today was Ava’s first day home! We were finally released from the Ohio State University hospital at about 12:30 PM, and all is well. Kate is recovering quickly, and Ava seems to be pretty enamored with sleeping. If she’s not eating, she’s sleeping…sleep and eat…that seems to pretty much be her routine. Normal stuff for newborns, of course, but my favorite moments are when she exhibits those fleeting sings of recognition. Her eyes might focus for a second on something, and you can almost feel her neurons firing as she tries to make some sort of connection, and then it’s gone. What an experience this is going to be…watching her grow, and learn, and become a full-fledged human being!
