Ava in her car seat via my new cell phone.

I bought a new cell phone last week…an LG vx8500 (otherwise known as the Verizon Chocolate phone…I’m sure you’ve seen the commercial on TV). Anyway, I’m also testing a new program called Windows Live Writer, which is basically a desktop app that allows you to publish directly to a blog. It’s cool because it’s all WYSIWYG, you can place photos the way you like them, etc. And it looks like it works! So hopefully you’ll see me posting a lot more entries soon.

Ava, where is your belly buton?

Learning to eat with a spoon.

We are learning to eat with utensils in the Sasser household, and what an adventure that is!

These boots were made for walking…

Ava got these red cowboy boots for her birthday and she loves them…even though she can’t walk in them. :-)

DId I mention that I am the cutest thing ever?

Happy first birthday!

Ava turned one recently and we had a great time celebrating her birthday. She LOVED the cake and dug into it pretty well (thank you Mom for saving my cake disaster). We had fun with my family and with our neighbors who came over to celebrate with us. Ava is into everything these days and jabbering up a storm! She loves to “talk” to whoever will listen. She “reads” to herself out loud and in the mornings she lays in her crib and talks to her bear for awhile before I come in and get her. She is becoming more and more of her own little person. Each day I get a glimpse into her little personality and it is such a joy…to watch a small person develop underneath your eyes. Happy birthday baby girl!
