Ava fell asleep during an iPhone game of Bejeweled. With the cat on her. And her sisters screaming in the next room. Guess she was tired!

Hi all…
As you can see Ava Elliot looks a little different since we’ve transitioned from Blogger to WordPress. There are some changes coming down the pipe for Blogger that will make it incompatible with our vision for Ava Elliot, so we’ve been forced to do something new. You may see the format change over the next few weeks, or things may be unavailable, or photos may disappear and reappear. But hopefully the transition will be smooth (we’re new to WordPress and there seems to be a lot to learn). The good news is this platform has a *lot* more options and customizations so hopefully we can spice things up a bit. And Lord knows Ava Elliot needs some spicing up…our format hasn’t changed a lick since we started it in 2005!!

Ha ha thought I’d post some funny videos of Olivia that we captured over the last couple days.
Snow in Houston?

Well who would have guessed this would happen? Folks from around here say they don’t see snow much…maybe every 20 years or so (well, there was that magical Christmas Eve four years ago where it snowed just in time for Santa’s visit). Anyway, pretty cool eh? Of course this would happen while Ava is asleep…she’s been begging to see snow and we keep telling her there’s not much chance it will happen while we’re in Texas. Boy were we wrong. Problem is, I’m not sure waking her up to see it is going to work very well. Hopefully it’ll still be on the ground tomorrow morning!
Olivia started crawling!

Okay, so she’s been doing plenty of Downward Dog and trying as hard as she can to stand on her toes. But on May 7 2008, one day after her 7-month birthday, Olivia finally figured out how to use those knees and CRAWL baby! Fortunately Kate had the video camera nearby and the rest is history. She’ll be walking in no time.
